Talent Acquisition Manager

Nicolaides Fink Thorpe Michaelides Sullivan LLP is seeking an ambitious, innovative Talent Acquisition Manager.  The Talent Acquisition Manager will work with the Managing Partner, Firm Hiring Committee, and Office Administrators to develop and implement the firm’s talent acquisition initiatives, across all offices (Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Los Angeles, San Diego, and San Francisco).  This position is located in Chicago.
 
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can develop and implement all talent acquisition for this fast-growing firm. Possessing a “roll-up your sleeves” approach to getting the job done, the candidate must have strong analytical and exceptional oral and written communications skills and experience managing and executing in a busy, collaborative environment. Main Areas of Responsibilities:

  • Attorney Recruitment and Retention
  • Staff Recruitment
  • On-Campus Interview Programs
 
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
 
  • Develop and execute key strategic/tactical objectives and plans to achieve annual lateral and attorney recruitment, hiring, and retention goals
  • Develop and refine workflows and processes related to lateral and attorney recruitment, hiring, and onboarding
  • Execute and support staff recruitment in conjunction with Office Administrators
  • Successfully source, screen, interview, evaluate, and hire qualified candidates
  • Accurately report and track candidate data
  • Coordinate annual on-campus interview (OCI) programs and support student/employer outreach opportunities at law schools
  • Identify and lead the participation of career fairs and open houses
  • Leverage LinkedIn, among other platforms, to publicize the firm’s job advertisements and job opportunities
  • Ensure that the firm remains a top competitor for candidates by leveraging employer branding
  • Monitor recruiting budget and track group activities
 
Specific Requirements:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 2 years of recruiting experience, preferably in a law firm environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of Applicant Tracking systems, including LinkedIn Recruiter, and other recruiting platforms utilized by law schools and alumni
  • Knowledge of NALP’s principles and standards
  • Superior oral and written communications skills and strong proofreading skills
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines, prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter with strong initiative and creativity
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and with all firm personnel
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Demonstrated customer service focus and team-first orientation
