Overview
As successful appeals begin long before trial or verdict, our appellate team often becomes actively involved at critical pre-trial stages and during trial, partnering with the trial lawyers to help posture the case for a successful resolution.


We provide real-time evaluation of the appellate issues and likelihood of success on appeal. Our objective monitoring of the trial proceedings ensures there is a comprehensive record to put our clients in the strongest position on appeal. We also assist with:

  • Successfully served as coverage and monitoring counsel for London-market insurers with respect to lawyers' professional liability and other programs.
  • Monitored for and counseled excess insurers on several transportation-related trials involving demands within excess carrier's layer in which verdict either favored the insured or was below the excess layer.
  • Monitored and counseled an excess insurer on several municipal liability policies issued to one of the country's largest municipalities in connection with Section 1983 claims against the municipality and its police department.
  • Monitored and served as appellate counsel for motorcycle injury trial involving quadriplegic plaintiff.
  • Monitored and served as appellate counsel for crane injury trial involving bilateral amputee plaintiff.
