Her practice spans commercial general liability, directors’ and officers’ liability, cyber, employment practices liability, commercial property, commercial transportation, and other specialized coverages.
She also counsels’ clients on regulatory compliance and claims handling practices under state and federal law, including consumer protection, data privacy, emerging frameworks, and emergency executive orders.

Before Nicolaides

Before joining Nicolaides, Shannon advised insurers on complex coverage and regulatory matters as special counsel at an international law firm. She previously spent more than two decades at a national firm, where she became a partner in the Insurance, AI, and Privacy practice groups. Her experience includes counseling commercial clients on claims handling, emerging technologies, and compliance, as well as litigating coverage, bad faith, and consumer protection disputes, including class actions and appellate work.  Early in her career, Shannon represented shipping companies in maritime matters, design professionals in construction defect litigation, and pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers in multidistrict class action product liability litigation.

Shannon enjoys spending time in nature with her family, particularly on the water, whether by paddleboard or surfboard.
