Ryan supports the firm’s clients in complex coverage cases, with an emphasis on technology-related matters. 
With a background in intellectual property (IP), data privacy, artificial intelligence (AI) governance, and compliance, he brings a multidisciplinary perspective to litigation strategy and risk assessment. His work includes regulatory review and analysis of emerging legal issues impacting the insurance industry.

Before Nicolaides

Ryan previously worked at a national law firm and served as an IP clinic fellow at the University of Arizona. He also gained in-house experience as a legal intern at Workday and Airbnb, where he advised on AI risk, liability limitations, and regulatory compliance across global jurisdictions. Earlier in his career, Ryan held multiple roles at Slack, supporting customer experience, product integrity, and app directory compliance, including for the company’s government-facing platform.

Outside Nicolaides

Ryan enjoys attending live music events and exploring the Bay Area’s food scene. He is also an avid traveler and loves to spend time outdoors.
