Mike has over 25 years of experience trying cases related to first-party property insurance, legal and medical malpractice, wrongful death, trucking, and other catastrophic injuries. He is a board-certified trial lawyer who has tried countless cases to jury verdicts.
He is also an experienced and highly successful appellate attorney, having handled hundreds of appeals in state and federal courts around the country. Mike collaborates with colleagues and clients to try cases and assists with reporting, pre-trial motions, and preserving appellate issues at trial.

Before Nicolaides

Previously, Mike served as trial and appellate counsel for personal injury clients at a Dallas-based firm. Before that, he led the Dallas appellate practice group at a complex litigation firm, where he handled cases regarding insurance, medical malpractice, legal malpractice, wrongful death trucking, and other commercial matters.

Outside Nicolaides

Outside the office, Mike devotes his time to his family, his wife Cynthia and children Kate, Brett, and JB. He also coaches high school baseball and softball teams. As a deacon, Mike and his family remain active in their church community.
