Kelly E. Almeter
A seasoned insurance coverage attorney, Kelly represents insurers in complex coverage and bad faith matters involving a broad range of liability and property policies.
Kelly advises carriers on coverage issues arising from environmental and pollution claims, including PFAS-related litigation, as well as commercial general liability, umbrella and excess liability, professional liability, commercial auto, property, and homeowners policies. She also represents insurers in coverage litigation and bad faith disputes in state and federal courts across the United States.

Before Nicolaides
Before joining Nicolaides, Kelly practiced insurance coverage and litigation with other national law firms, most recently serving as a partner in the insurance coverage and litigation practice of another national law firm.
- Obtained a defense verdict on behalf of an excess insurer in a 2025 environmental coverage arbitration arising from a substantial refined-product release from a major underground pipeline. The insured sought more than $130 million in remediation costs and property damage. Following a two-week arbitration hearing, the arbitration panel entered a complete defense award in favor of the insurer.
