Before Nicolaides

Before joining Nicolaides, Joe was an associate at a Chicago-based civil litigation defense firm, where he represented hospitals and healthcare providers in complex medical negligence matters. Early in his practice, Joe served as the second chair in a high-exposure medical negligence trial which resulted in a favorable verdict, and he has drafted and successfully argued several dispositive motions on behalf of his clients. During law school, he gained hands-on experience through clinical work and legal internships across various civil, family, and criminal law settings. He also clerked at a Chicago boutique complex civil litigation firm and served as a student attorney in a prisoner rights clinic. Prior to law school, Joe was a Teach For America corps member, where he taught middle school science in Fort Worth, TX.

Outside Nicolaides

Joe enjoys spending his time outside the office with his family, friends, and goldendoodle, Sophie. He is a loyal Detroit sports fan, avid golfer, and Great Lakes enthusiast.
