Biography
BIOGRAPHY
JohnFranco focuses his practice on insurance coverage, handling numerous first-party insurance coverage cases on behalf of insurer clients. This includes defending clients in declaratory judgement actions and statutory bad faith claims.
He has successfully defended clients at all stages of litigation, winning several dispositive motions and resolving numerous cases through mediation and arbitration. He has significant experience in complex trials and trial preparation, with second chair experience in cases with demands and exposures of tens of millions of dollars.

Before Nicolaides

Before joining Nicolaides, JohnFranco worked at a Chicago-based litigation firm, representing clients through all stages of litigation, including trial. Outside Nicolaides

Outside of the office, JohnFranco enjoys playing basketball and spending time with family and friends.
EXPERIENCE
  • Successfully obtained summary judgment for insurer in a first party insurance coverage dispute by proving that damage to a commercial property was caused by a pre-existing defect, which was excluded from coverage under the policy.
 
  • Served as second chair in a Cook County, Illinois jury trial, securing a defense verdict in a premises liability case on behalf of the client.
