Nicolaides Fink Thorpe Michaelides Sullivan LLP Welcomes Dawn Hove as Partner in San Diego

Nicolaides Fink Thorpe Michaelides Sullivan LLP is pleased to announce that Dawn A. Hove has joined the firm’s San Diego office as a partner.

Dawn brings more than 15 years of experience advising and litigating on behalf of insurance companies on coverage-related matters. Her experience includes commercial general liability (CGL), commercial property, builders risk, directors and officers (D&O), and professional liability policies, as well as owner-controlled insurance programs (OCIPs), contractor controlled insurance programs (CCIPs), and risk transfer. Dawn evaluates and resolves insurance disputes arising from high-exposure complex construction defects, environmental conditions, product liability, premises liability, and bad faith claims. She has been involved in declaratory relief, complaints in intervention, subrogation and contribution, and priority of coverage disputes.

“We are thrilled to have Dawn join our team as the latest addition to our San Diego office,” said Richard H. Nicolaides, Jr., the firm’s Managing Partner. “Identifying and working with the most talented insurance coverage lawyers throughout the country has always been a part of our strategic growth plan.”

Prior to joining the firm, Dawn was a partner at an Orange County, California-based law firm that specializes in construction, environmental, real estate, insurance coverage, business, and commercial litigation. She represented many of the world’s largest insurance companies, Fortune 500 companies, private developers, international general contractors, large-scale subcontractors, and public entities in complex cases. In addition, with her Intellectual Property Law Certificate, Dawn has also handled federal trademark registrations, privacy rights defense, and other emerging internet-related matters.

“I am excited to join the firm,” said Dawn. “Its reputation as the country’s premier insurance law firm, dynamic culture, and growth trajectory drew me to the firm. I am eager to further develop my insurance coverage practice by leveraging the firm’s national platform and by collaborating with my new colleagues throughout the country.”

Dawn’s arrival follows the addition of San Diego-based associate Alissa M. Garner.

Dawn earned her J.D., cum laude, and Certificate in Intellectual Property Law from Whittier College School of Law and her B.A., magna cum laude, from Concordia University Irvine.
