Richard H. Nicolaides, Jr. to Present at DRI Insurance Coverage and Practice Virtual Symposium

Richard H. Nicolaides, Jr. will be a featured speaker at DRI’s annual Insurance Coverage and Practice Symposium (“ICPS”), which will be held virtually this year on December 3 and December 4, 2020. This year’s symposium features faculty insights on emerging coverage issues (including those arising in opioid litigation, sex trafficking claims, and construction defect matters), national trends, and the future of insurance coverage law.

Richard’s presentation, “A Game of Chance: Insurance and the Concept of Fortuity,” will explore how fortuity impacts the coverage obligations of a liability insurer whose insureds are facing claims as varied as deceptive trade practices, terrorist funding, and involvement in climate change.

ICPS is one of the leading educational events for insurance executives, claims professionals, and outside counsel who specialize in insurance coverage. The annual event offers attendees the opportunity to engage with insurance industry leaders, experts, and coverage lawyers on emerging issues, recent court rulings, national trends, and the future of insurance coverage law.

The registration fees are $199 for DRI members and $299 for non-members. Plus, in-house counsel and claims professionals may also be eligible for free registration.
