Monica Sullivan Addresses Insurance Coverage Issues At Opioid Litigation Conference

Speakers: Monica T. Sullivan

Monica T. Sullivan will participate as both moderator and panelist at the Opioid Litigation Conference in Dallas, Texas, on June 6, 2019. Monica joins other panelists in a two-part session addressing "The Insurance Coverage and Allocation Issues." Serving as moderator for the first session, Monica and the panel will address the coverage issues presented by the opioid litigation, including the status of nationwide cases. Issues to be addressed include whether the lawsuits allege an "occurrence," whether they seek damages for or on account of "bodily injury," and application of product and opioid exclusions. Monica will also participate as a panelist during the second half of the program, which will address issues including how related claim, batch and integrated occurrence language operates with respect to opioid notices, and challenges faced by insureds and insurers involved in opioid claims.
