21st Century Exposures: The Changing Face of Risk
Location: DRI 2026 Insurance Roundtable
On March 11, Amy J. Cassidy will serve as a speaker at DRI’s 2026 Insurance Roundtable in Chicago, a program that brings together leaders in the insurance industry and defense bar in an exclusive setting to discuss the significant challenges facing the industry and explore strategies for addressing them.
Amy’s session, 21st Century Exposures: The Changing Face of Risk, will examine the latest wave of mass exposures confronting insurers, including claims involving microplastics, ultra-processed foods, and hair relaxers. The presentation will explore how these newer matters compare to recent large-scale exposures such as opioids, PFAS, firearms, and lead paint, what characteristics they share, and the lessons the insurance industry is applying from intake through adjustment in responding to these evolving risks.
