Kelly has more than 25 years of experience working with both domestic and London insurers. Her practice focuses on resolving and managing complex insurance coverage issues, with particular interest in professional and management liability policies, including:
  • Directors and Officers
  • Errors and Omissions
  • Employment Practices 
  • Fiduciary (ERISA)

During her career working as a lawyer in private practice and as in-house counsel, Kelly has handled E&O and D&O matters for companies in the private and public sectors, as well as non-profit organizations. A seasoned insurance coverage attorney, Kelly is an effective communicator who believes in cultivating partnerships to efficiently and effectively manage risk and mitigate exposures. Kelly also has experience drafting policy wording.

She frequently speaks, including at PLUS, on emerging coverage and legal issues.

Before Nicolaides

Prior to joining Nicolaides, Kelly was Senior Claim Counsel for a Fortune 500 insurance company and worked as an insurance coverage attorney in private practice for 20 years. She also served as a pro bono attorney for the Lawyers Committee on Civil Rights representing individuals seeking political asylum.

Outside Nicolaides

Kelly enjoys spending time with family and friends, including volunteering with her kids' Girl Scout and Boy Scout troops. Kelly is an avid traveler and loves visitng exotic locales, including a trip to the Galápagos Islands. Kelly also enjoys horseback riding, snorkeling/scuba diving, and wine tasting.
